It is interesting how people brand themselves online through their use of social media platforms. Everything that you post or comment on is contributing to the brand that you are creating for yourself.
Having eye catching and unique background pictures and profile pictures are a large part of branding yourself online and on social media platforms, as so much of it these days is about visuals.  I have had my own personal qualms about social media, and therefore do not currently have a Facebook account. Without having a Facebook account, it is inevitably going to be harder for me to brand myself online. So that makes me wonder, should I really be fighting social media altogether and join in with everyone else?

  1. Yes, you cannot ignore SM anymore. You are becoming a marketing professional. Social media is marketing. There isn't a choice in today's media-rich environment. That's why we are making 'brands' in SM, rather than just 'being personal', so let's begin... you don't need to accept any advice - that's your right... but, how can you expect to hold a marketing career if you continue to 'reject' the things associated with that industry?
